Santolina pinnata is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family, native to northwest Italy. It is sometimes referred to as lavender cotton. A putative subspecies, Santolina pinnata subsp. neapolitana, known as rosemary-leaved lavender cotton, has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

Santolina pinnata is a member of the Asteraceae family and is native to northwest Italy. It belongs to the genus Santolina, which includes several species commonly called lavender cotton. The plant was first described in 1802. A putative subspecies, Santolina pinnata subsp. neapolitana, known as rosemary-leaved lavender cotton, has been recognized for its horticultural value and has earned the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
