Paronychia franciscana, known as San Francisco nailwort, is a flowering plant in the Caryophyllaceae family. It is native to Chile but was first described from specimens in San Francisco, California, where it is an introduced species.

Paronychia franciscana is a species of flowering plant in the Caryophyllaceae family. It is commonly known as San Francisco nailwort, California Whitlow-wort, Franciscan paronychia, and Chilean nailwort. The plant is native to Chile, but it was first described from specimens collected in San Francisco, California. It has since become naturalized in parts of the United States and is also found in other regions including Australia, the Juan Fernández Islands, and parts of central and southern Chile. The species was first published in 1901 by Eastwood.
