Sambucus peruviana is a tree species in the genus Sambucus, family Viburnaceae, native to Central and South America. It was first described in 1820 by Kunth.

Sambucus peruviana is a member of the Viburnaceae family and is found in several countries across Central and South America, including Argentina Northwest, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru. This species was first published in 1820 by the botanist Kunth. It is part of the genus Sambucus, which includes other species commonly known as elderberries.
