Rourea martiana is a species of shrub in the family Connaraceae, native to Brazil. It was first described in 1871 by Baker. The plant can grow up to 3 meters tall and is characterized by its compound leaves with 9 to 15 leaflets, glandular trichomes on the stems and leaves, and axillary or pseudoterminal inflorescences.

Description

Rourea martiana is a shrub or scandent shrub that ranges from 1 to 3 meters in height. Its branchlets are sparsely to densely hirsute with abundant, inconspicuous lenticels. The leaves are compound, with 9 to 15 leaflets arranged opposite to subopposite. The petiole is 0.8 to 1.8 cm long, and the rachis is 4 to 6 cm long, both with glandular trichomes. The leaflets are subsessile, with the basal pair being 0.9 to 1.8 cm long and the others 1.2 to 4 cm long. The blade shapes vary from orbicular to narrowly obovate. The inflorescences are axillary or pseudoterminal cymes with glandular trichomes on the peduncle and rachis. Flowers are clustered at the apex, with buds 4 x 2.5 to 3 mm in size and 2 persistent bracteoles.
