The plant can grow up to 7 meters tall, with branchlets that are either glabrous or sparsely puberulous. It is found in the Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil, as well as globally.
Description
Rourea bahiensis is characterized by its compound leaves with 9 to 41 leaflets, which are narrowly elliptic, oblong, or narrowly ovate in shape. The leaflets are chartaceous or coriaceous in texture and have a base that is slightly asymmetric, cordate, subcordate, or rounded. The inflorescences are axillary or ramiflorous, with bracts and peduncles that are sparsely pubescent. The flowers are loosely arranged, with buds that are ellipsoid or obovate. This species is part of the genus Rourea and belongs to the family Connaraceae.
