Packera obovata is a perennial herb in the Asteraceae family, native to eastern North America. It was formerly classified as Senecio obovatus. The plant features yellow ray flowers and orange-yellow disk flowers, with inflorescences elevated above the foliage. Basal and lower leaves are obovate with toothed edges, while upper leaves are pinnately divided.

Description

Packera obovata, known as round-leaf ragwort, is a member of the Asteraceae family. It is an erect perennial herb with a native range across eastern North America. The plant has yellow ray flowers and orange-yellow disk flowers, with the inflorescences positioned above the leaves. Basal and lower leaves are obovate and toothed, while upper leaves are pinnately divided. Previously classified as Senecio obovatus, it was reclassified in 1981 under the genus Packera.
