Blyxa aubertii, known as Round Fruit Blyxa, is an aquatic plant species found in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Australia. It is also present in the conterminous 48 United States, particularly in Louisiana. This species grows in shallow lakes and ponds.

Description

Blyxa aubertii is a species in the Hydrocharitaceae family and is part of the genus Blyxa. It is widely distributed across the Afrotropical, Australasian, Oriental (Indomalaya), Palaearctic, and Pacific (Oceania) regions. Specific localities include the Andaman Islands, Assam, Bangladesh, Borneo, Caroline Islands, China South-Central, China Southeast, East Himalaya, Hainan, and other regions. The species was first described in 1814.
