Maerua juncea, commonly called the rough-skinned bush cherry, is a plant in the Capparaceae family. It is distributed across various regions in Africa, including Botswana, KwaZulu-Natal, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Northern Provinces, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, Zaïre, and Zimbabwe. The species was first described in 1891 by Pax. It is part of the genus Maerua and is native to the Afrotropical region.
