It is native to regions including the conterminous 48 United States, China (North-Central, South-Central, Southeast), Japan, Korea, Nansei-shoto, Oregon, and Taiwan. The species was first described in 1830.

Description

Torilis scabra (Thunb.) DC. is a plant species within the genus Torilis. It is found in a wide range of areas, including parts of North America, East Asia, and the Pacific. Its distribution spans the conterminous 48 United States, Oregon, and several regions in China. It is also present in Japan, Korea, the Nansei-shoto islands, and Taiwan. The species was published in 1830 and is commonly referred to as Rough hedgeparsley in English.
