Rough-Fruit Amaranth

Amaranthus tuberculatus is a species of flowering plant in the Amaranthaceae family. It is commonly referred to as roughfruit amaranth, rough-fruited water-hemp, tall waterhemp, or common waterhemp. It is a summer annual broadleaf with a germination period that can last for several months. This species is reported as a weed in 40 of the 50 U.S. states. Its distribution includes regions such as Belgium, the Flemish Region, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy, Ukraine, and other locations globally. The species was first published in 1955 under the authorship of J.D.Sauer.
