Poa trivialis L., known as Rough Bluegrass, is a perennial grass in the Poaceae family. It is native to regions including Greenland, Newfoundland, British Columbia, and several islands in the Azores. The species was first published in 1753. In the United States, it is often cultivated as an ornamental plant.
Description
Poa trivialis is a member of the genus Poa and is distributed across parts of North America and the Azores. A neotype for the species was designated by Soreng due to the absence of original material. The plant is part of the grass family and is used in horticulture for ornamental purposes.
