Rothmannia octomera

Rothmannia octomera is a plant species within the Rubiaceae family, commonly known as the coffee family. This species is found across various countries in central and western Africa, including Cabinda, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, the Gulf of Guinea Islands, Nigeria, and Zaïre. The species was formally described in 1943 by Fagerl., based on earlier work by Hook. It is part of the genus Rothmannia, which includes several species native to tropical and subtropical regions. The distribution of Rothmannia octomera reflects its adaptation to the ecological conditions of the African tropics.
