Rothmaleria granatensis is a species in the Asteraceae family, native to Spain. It features stems 2-30 cm tall, often multiple, with a thick base and glabrous or slightly rough surface. The plant has basal leaves forming a rosette, 15-100 mm long, obovate-oblong, and incise-dentate to pinnatifid with crispate, dentate lobes. The cauline leaves are smaller, often sessile, and similar in appearance. The involucre is 10-12 mm in size with imbricate, oblong bracts and a wide, whitish, scarious margin. Achenes measure 4-5 mm in length.

Description

Rothmaleria granatensis (Boiss. ex DC.) Font Quer is a member of the Asteraceae family and is native to Spain. It is characterized by its stems, which can grow up to 30 cm tall, and are typically several in number, with a thick stock. The stems are either glabrous or scabridulous. Basal leaves, 15-100 mm long and 5-20 mm wide, form a rosette and are thick, glaucous, and obovate-oblong, narrowing to the petiole and incise-dentate to pinnatifid with crispate, dentate lobes. Cauline leaves are similar but smaller, often sessile and spaced apart. The involucre measures 10-12 mm in size, with imbricate, oblong bracts that are obtuse to acute and have a wide, whitish, scarious margin. The receptacular scales are linear and acute. The achenes are 4-5 mm in length. This species was published in 1940.
