Rotala malabarica

Rotala malabarica, described in 1990, is a short-lived annual plant native to the Indomalaya region, specifically recorded in India. It belongs to the genus Rotala and the Lythraceae family. The species is known only from a single location in southern India and has not been observed in recent years, leading to its classification as critically endangered. Its limited distribution and lack of recent records suggest it may already be extinct in the wild.
