Description

Obetia tenax (N.E.Br.) Friis is a member of the Urticaceae family, also referred to as the nettle family. This species is native to various parts of southern Africa, with records from Botswana, the Cape Provinces, KwaZulu-Natal, Mozambique, the Northern Provinces, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe. The species was formally published in 1983 and is known by the common name Rock Tree Nettle in English.
