Rhytidosporum procumbens (Hook.) F.Muell., known as White Marianth, is a dwarf perennial shrub in the Pittosporaceae family. It is native to New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, and Victoria, and was first described in 1862. The plant produces 1–3 white flowers, 15mm in diameter, in the upper leaf axils from August to December. Its leaves are narrow, 5–20mm long, with pointed or 3-toothed tips and curled margins.
Description
Rhytidosporum procumbens is a low-growing shrub with narrow leaves that have pointed or 3-toothed tips and rolled-under edges. The white flowers appear singly or in small clusters in the upper leaf axils during late summer to early winter. This species is found across several regions in southeastern and eastern Australia. It was first published in 1862 and belongs to the Pittosporaceae family.
