Renealmia fragilis is a species in the genus Renealmia, belonging to the Zingiberaceae family. It was first described by Maas in 1976 and is native to regions in Colombia and Ecuador, specifically Cauca, Huila, Nariño, and Putumayo.

The species is distributed across the regions of Cauca, Huila, Nariño, and Putumayo in Colombia, as well as in Ecuador. It was formally published in 1976 by Maas, who provided its scientific description. The species is part of the genus Renealmia, which includes other tropical herbaceous plants primarily found in the Neotropical region.
