Phyllostachys rubromarginata, known as reddish bamboo or red margin bamboo, is a member of the Poaceae family. Native to Central China, particularly the regions of Guangxi and Guizhou, this bamboo species has also been documented in the conterminous 48 United States and South Carolina. It was first described in 1940 by McClure.

The species has also been reported in the conterminous 48 United States and South Carolina. Its scientific name was first published by McClure in 1940. Commonly referred to as reddish bamboo or red margin bamboo, it is distinguished by its characteristic red margins on the leaves.
