Elatine rubella, known as red-stemmed waterwort, is a species in the family Elatinaceae. It was first described by Rydb. in 1900. This aquatic plant is native to the Nearctic region and has a wide distribution across North America.

Description

Elatine rubella is found in several regions across North America, including British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. As a member of the Elatinaceae family, it is typically associated with wetland habitats. The species is known by the common name red-stemmed waterwort in English.
