Rauvolfia polyphylla is a species in the genus Rauvolfia, family Apocynaceae, first described in 1841 by Benth. It is native to regions in northern South America, including the Parque Nacional Natural Serranía de Chiribiquete in Colombia's Guainía department, as well as parts of Brazil and Venezuela. Its distribution also extends to other areas within the Amazonian region.

Description

Rauvolfia polyphylla is a member of the Apocynaceae family, known for its distribution in the Amazonian region of northern South America. It is documented in the Parque Nacional Natural Serranía de Chiribiquete, located in the Guainía department of Colombia, as well as in Brazil and Venezuela. The species was first described in 1841 by Benth. Its presence in these areas highlights its occurrence in tropical ecosystems, particularly in the Amazonia nororiental de Colombia and other parts of the region.
