Turnera ulmifolia L., known as ramgoat dashalong, is a flowering plant in the family Passifloraceae. It is native to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and parts of northern South America and southern Florida. The species has been widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions and has become naturalized globally.

Description

Turnera ulmifolia is a member of the genus Turnera, distributed across multiple regions including Antioquia, Caldas, Casanare, Cesar, Cundinamarca, Huila, La Guajira, Magdalena, Meta, Santander, Tolima, and Valle del Cauca. It is also found in subregions such as Cordillera occidental, Cordillera central, Enclaves subxerofíticos, and Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona. The plant is often confused with Turnera diffusa due to their similar appearance. It has been cultivated and naturalized in many tropical and subtropical areas outside its native range.
