Racinaea tenuispica is a plant species in the Bromeliaceae family, native to regions in Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. It is found in various subregions of Colombia, including Antioquia, Chocó, Santander, and others, as well as in the Cordillera occidental and Cordillera central. The species was first described in 1993 by M.A. Spencer and L.B. Smith.

Description

Racinaea tenuispica is a member of the Bromeliaceae family and is distributed across several regions in South America. Its range includes parts of Colombia such as Antioquia, Chocó, Santander, and the Cordillera occidental and Cordillera central. It also occurs in Ecuador and Venezuela. The species was formally described in 1993 by M.A. Spencer and L.B. Smith, based on earlier work by André. It is associated with specific ecological zones, including xerophytic enclaves and the Guanentá Alto Río Fonce Sanctuary.
