Quiina guianensis is a flowering plant species in the Ochnaceae family, native to French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad-Tobago, and Venezuela. It thrives in wet tropical climates and has also been recorded in Malaysia, Indonesia, Madagascar, Brunei, and Panama.

Description

Quiina guianensis, described by Aubl. in 1775, is a member of the genus Quiina within the Ochnaceae family. This species is primarily found in the tropical regions of northern South America, including French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad-Tobago, and Venezuela. It is adapted to wet tropical environments and has a broader distribution that extends to parts of Southeast Asia and the Pacific, such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei, as well as Madagascar and Panama.
