Qualea cryptantha is a species in the genus Qualea, belonging to the family Vochysiaceae. It was first described in 1875 by Warm, based on earlier work by Spreng. The species is native to parts of Brazil, including the Northeast, Southeast, and South regions, as well as Bolivia.

Qualea cryptantha is a member of the Vochysiaceae family, a group of flowering plants primarily found in tropical regions.
