Harrisia portoricensis, known as Puerto Rico applecactus, is a cactus species in the Cactaceae family. It is native to the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

Description

Harrisia portoricensis is a member of the Cactaceae family and belongs to the genus Harrisia. It is commonly referred to as Puerto Rico applecactus and is also known by the name higo chumbo. This species is native to the Caribbean, specifically found in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. It was first described in 1908 by Britton.
