Psammisia ulbrichiana is a species in the genus Psammisia, belonging to the family Ericaceae. It was first described by Hoerold in 1909 and is distributed across Antioquia, Huila in Colombia, as well as Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Peru.

Description

Psammisia ulbrichiana is a member of the Ericaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the heath or heather family. The species was formally described in 1909 by the botanist Hoerold. It is native to several countries in Central and South America, including Antioquia and Huila in Colombia, as well as Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Peru. The genus Psammisia is part of the Ericaceae family, which includes a wide range of shrubs and small trees adapted to acidic soils. Psammisia ulbrichiana is one of several species within this genus that are found in the Neotropical region.
