Prostanthera violacea, known as violet mint-bush, is a flowering shrub in the Lamiaceae family. It is native to south-eastern New South Wales and was first described in 1810 by R.Br.

Description

Prostanthera violacea is a slender, aromatic shrub characterized by densely hairy branches and leaves that are roughly circular with rolled edges. It produces mauve to bluish flowers, often with white tips. This species is endemic to New South Wales and is part of the mint family, Lamiaceae.
