Prostanthera decussata, known as dense mintbush, is a compact, aromatic shrub native to south-eastern Australia. It has egg-shaped leaves and mauve to violet flowers with yellow streaks, clustered in leaf axils at the ends of branchlets.

Description

Prostanthera decussata is a member of the Lamiaceae family and was first described by F.Muell. in 1859. This species is found in Victoria and is characterized by its dense growth habit and strongly aromatic foliage. The flowers, which appear in the leaf axils near the ends of branchlets, display a color range from mauve to violet with distinct yellow streaks.
