Pristimera longipetiolata is a species in the genus Pristimera, belonging to the family Celastraceae. It was described by N.Hallé in 1981, based on earlier work by Oliv. The species is native to parts of eastern and southern Africa, including Kenya, Mozambique, the Northern Provinces, and Zimbabwe.

Description

Pristimera longipetiolata is a member of the Celastraceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the staff-vine family. It is part of the genus Pristimera, which includes several species found in tropical and subtropical regions. The species is geographically distributed across Kenya, Mozambique, the Northern Provinces of South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Its name, longipetiolata, likely refers to the elongated petioles of the leaves. The taxonomic description was published in 1981 by N.Hallé, building on the original work of Oliv.
