Echium simplex, known as pride-of-Tenerife, is a biennial herbaceous plant in the Boraginaceae family. It can reach heights of up to 3 m (9.8 ft).

Description

Echium simplex is a member of the Boraginaceae family and is native to regions including AU, Azores, Canary Is., Cape Provinces, Madeira, and St. Helena. It was first described in 1813. This species is commonly called pride-of-Tenerife or tower of jewels in English. It is a biennial plant that grows to a height of 3 m (9.8 ft).
