Hakea amplexicaulis is a shrub native to south west Western Australia and is known by the common name prickly hakea. It is characterized by its stem-clasping foliage, sharply serrated leaves, and sweetly scented flowers that vary in color and bloom from late winter to spring.

Description

Hakea amplexicaulis belongs to the Proteaceae family and is part of the Hakea genus. It is a small shrub with distinctive foliage and is found in the region of south west Western Australia. The plant produces a profusion of variable-colored flowers with a sweet scent, blooming during late winter to spring. It was first described in 1810 by R.Br.
