Description

Prestonia coalita is a member of the Apocynaceae family, commonly known as the dogbane family. It is distributed across various parts of South America, including Brazil (Northeast, North, Southeast, South, and West-Central), Argentina Northeast, Bolivia, Cundinamarca, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, and Venezuela. The species was formally published in 1931 by Woodson, based on the original work by Vell. It is part of the genus Prestonia, which includes several species found in tropical and subtropical regions.
