Prestonia bahiensis is a species in the genus Prestonia, belonging to the family Apocynaceae. It was first described in 1860 by Müller Argoviensis. The species is native to Brazil, specifically the Northeast and Southeast regions.

Description

Prestonia bahiensis is a member of the Apocynaceae family, commonly known as the dogbane family. This family includes a wide range of flowering plants, many of which are characterized by milky sap and often used in traditional medicine. The species is found in the Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil. It was first scientifically described in 1860 by the botanist known as Müll.Arg. (Müller Argoviensis), contributing to the understanding of the biodiversity of the genus Prestonia in the Neotropical region.
