Prangos ferulacea is a perennial herb in the Apiaceae family, native to the Mediterranean Basin, the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, and the Caucasus. It is known as common basilisk in Italy.

Description

Prangos ferulacea, described by Lindl. in 1825, is a member of the Apiaceae family and is found in regions including Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Lebanon-Syria, the North Caucasus, Palestine, Romania, Sicilia, the Transcaucasus, Turkey, and Yugoslavia. It is a perennial herbaceous plant and is referred to as common basilisk in Italy.
