Solidago ptarmicoides, known as Prairie Goldenrod, is a perennial flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is native to central and eastern Canada and parts of the United States, including the Great Lakes region, the Northeast, the Ozarks, and the northern Great Plains. Isolated populations are found in Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma, and scattered locations in the Southeast. The plant is also referred to as upland white aster, upland white solidago, upland white goldenrod, and sneezewort goldenrod.

Description

Solidago ptarmicoides is a North American species of the genus Solidago. It is found in Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Vermont, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, and other regions. The species was published in 1972 and is recognized for its white flat-top inflorescences. It is commonly called Prairie Goldenrod and is adapted to a variety of habitats across its range.
