Pradosia cuatrecasasii

Pradosia cuatrecasasii (Aubrév.) T.D.Penn. is a member of the Sapotaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the sapote family. This species is endemic to Colombia, where it is distributed across the departments of Antioquia, Cauca, and Valle. The name was formally published in 1990. It belongs to the genus Pradosia, which includes several tree species primarily found in the Neotropical region. The species is named in honor of John Cuatrecasas, a notable botanist known for his work on tropical plant taxonomy.
