Description
Angelica pachycarpa is a member of the genus Angelica and is part of the carrot family, Apiaceae. It is described as a perennial herb with a native range in northwestern Spain and western Portugal. The species was published in 1864 by Lange. In addition to its native range, it has been introduced and naturalized in New Zealand. The plant is sometimes grown in gardens for its ornamental value, particularly for its attractive foliage and white umbels of flowers.
