Pogostemon micangensis

Pogostemon micangensis is a member of the Lamiaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly referred to as the mint family. The species was scientifically documented by G. Taylor in 1931. Its geographic distribution includes several countries in central and western Africa, specifically Angola, Cameroon, and Gabon. As part of the Pogostemon genus, it shares characteristics typical of the Lamiaceae family, such as square stems and opposite leaves.
