Pogostemon benghalensis is a flowering plant in the Lamiaceae family, commonly called the Bengal shrub mint. It is native to regions including the Andaman Islands, Assam, Bangladesh, the East and West Himalayas, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The species was first described in 1891.

Description

Pogostemon benghalensis is a member of the Lamiaceae, or mint, family. It is found across several South and Southeast Asian countries, including the Andaman Islands, Assam, Bangladesh, the East and West Himalayas, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The species was formally published in 1891 and is part of the genus Pogostemon. It is commonly referred to as the Bengal shrub mint.
