Description

Pluchea dentex was described by George Bentham in 1867 based on specimens collected in Queensland. The specimens were gathered from Broad Sound and Thirsty Sound by Robert Brown, from the source of the Gilbert River by Ferdinand von Mueller, and from Port Denison by Eugene Fitzalan. This species belongs to the genus Pluchea and is part of the Asteraceae family. It is distributed across multiple Australian states, including New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.
