Nepenthes ephippiata, a tropical pitcher plant, is native to Borneo and found in montane forests at elevations between 1,000 and 1,900 meters. It is restricted to the Hose Mountains in central Sarawak and to Mount Raya and Bukit Lesung in Kalimantan.

Description

Nepenthes ephippiata, described by Danser in 1928, is a member of the Nepenthaceae family. It is commonly known as the saddle-leaved pitcher-plant and is distributed in Southern Asia, particularly in Borneo. This species is found in montane forest habitats within specific mountain ranges on the island.
