Nepenthes clipeata, a tropical pitcher plant, is native to the vertical granite cliffs of Mount Kelam in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. It is found at elevations between 600 and 800 meters.

Description

Nepenthes clipeata is a species of the genus Nepenthes in the family Nepenthaceae. It is commonly known as the pitcher plant. This species was first described in 1928 by Danser. Its distribution is limited to Southern Asia, specifically Borneo. The plant is adapted to grow on near-vertical granite cliff faces.
