Leptocereus quadricostatus is a member of the Cactaceae family and is commonly known as pitahaya. It is distributed in the Leeward Islands, particularly Puerto Rico. The species was described in 1913. It is adapted to subtropical and tropical dry forest and shrubland habitats. Due to the degradation and loss of these ecosystems, the species is considered threatened.
