Piptostigma multinervium is a tree species in the Annonaceae family, native to Cameroon and Gabon. It reaches heights of 8 to 10 meters with a trunk diameter of 10 to 15 cm. The tree lacks stilt roots or buttresses. Its leaves are obovate, 13 to 21 cm long, with 15 to 31 pairs of secondary veins. The inflorescences are cauliflorous and ramiflorous, with up to six flowers per inflorescence. The flowers have nine perianth parts in three whorls and are characterized by free sepals and petals.

Description

Piptostigma multinervium is a member of the Annonaceae family, found in Cameroon and Gabon. It is a medium-sized tree, 8 to 10 m tall, with a trunk diameter of 10 to 15 cm. The tree lacks stilt roots or buttresses. The leaves have petioles 2 to 4 mm long and blades 13 to 21 cm long, 3 to 8 cm wide, with a cuneate to obtuse base and acuminate apex. The secondary venation consists of 15 to 31 pairs of veins. The inflorescences are cauliflorous and ramiflorous, with a peduncle-like base 8 to 20 mm long. Each inflorescence bears up to six flowers with nine perianth parts in three whorls. The flowers have three free, triangular sepals and free petals, with outer petals shorter than inner ones.
