Sarracenia rosea is a species of pitcher plant in the genus Sarracenia, native to North America. It is commonly known as pink pitcherplant and is found in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi. The species was published in 1999 and is sometimes referred to as Burk's southern pitcher plant.

Description

Sarracenia rosea belongs to the Sarraceniaceae family and is characterized by its pitcher-shaped leaves that function as insect traps. It is one of several carnivorous plant species within the Sarracenia genus. This species is native to the southeastern United States, where it grows in wetland habitats. The name 'pink pitcherplant' refers to the plant's distinctive pink-tinged pitchers. The species was formally described in 1999 by Naczi, F.W.Case, and R.B.Case.
