Pinguicula ramosa is a carnivorous plant in the Lentibulariaceae family, native to the mountains of Nikkō National Park in Japan. It is distinguished by its forked flower stalk and is part of the section micranthus, closely related to Pinguicula variegata.

Description

Pinguicula ramosa, described in 1890 by Miyoshi ex Yatabe, is a butterwort species endemic to Japan. It is found in the mountainous regions of Nikkō National Park. This species is notable for its unique forked flower stalk, a distinguishing feature within the genus Pinguicula. It is closely related to Pinguicula variegata and belongs to the section micranthus. As a member of the Lentibulariaceae family, it shares the carnivorous traits typical of the genus.
