Pinguicula balcanica, known as the Balkanian butterwort, is a perennial carnivorous plant in the family Lentibulariaceae. It is native to the Balkans and thrives in wet, nutrient-poor habitats such as bogs and marshes.

Description

Pinguicula balcanica was described by Casper in 1962 and belongs to the genus Pinguicula. This species is found in Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, the Transcaucasus, Turkey, and Yugoslavia. It is adapted to grow in moist, low-nutrient environments typical of wetlands.
