Pilosocereus catingicola is a flowering plant in the Cactaceae family, native to the northeastern region of Brazil, including the states of Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe, Paraíba, and Bahia. It was first described in 1957.

Description

This species belongs to the genus Pilosocereus and is part of the Cactaceae family, commonly known as the cactus family. It is endemic to the northeastern Brazilian states and has a distribution primarily within this region. The scientific name was published in 1957 by Byles and G.D. Rowley, based on the original work of Gürke.
