Description

Packera millefolium, also known as Yarrowleaf Ragwort or Blue Ridge Groundsel, is a member of the Asteraceae (Aster) family. It is endemic to the mainland United States and is primarily distributed in the Eastern U.S. The species is commonly found on dry, rocky surfaces and grows to a height of approximately 1 to 3 feet. It is part of the genus Packera and is known to hybridize with other species. The plant may be toxic when consumed.
