Phyllostachys kwangsiensis is a species of bamboo in the Poaceae family, native to Southeast China. It was first described in 1980 by W.Y. Hsiung, Q.H. Dai, and J.K. Liu.

Description

Phyllostachys kwangsiensis belongs to the genus Phyllostachys, which includes many temperate bamboo species. This bamboo is indigenous to the southeastern region of China and is part of the grass family, Poaceae. The species was formally published in 1980 by the botanists W.Y. Hsiung, Q.H. Dai, and J.K. Liu, who provided its scientific description. As a member of the Poaceae family, it shares characteristics typical of grasses, including hollow stems and jointed growth patterns.
